Fluids engineering
Each technology, whether hydraulic or pneumatic, faces its own constraints, due either to the effects of temperature, speed, pressure, contact fluids, external pollution or its mechanical environment.
France Joint is committed to helping its customers develop reliable technological solutions for optimal operation, whatever the challenges faced. As well as a complete range of standard seals, France Joint is dedicated to finding the best compromise using technical seals with optimised designs and created using reliable materials, whatever the criticality of the static or dynamic applications (linear / rotation).
Pushing the boundaries with advanced materials
To ensure the reliability and longevity of each of its sealing solutions, France Joint has opted to focus on high-performing materials that considerably reduce friction and better resist the effects of extrusion and abrasion while still being fully chemically compatible with the majority of hydraulic and pneumatic fluids. Among these materials are:
PTFE - Polytetrafluoroethylene
Either virgin or combined with a precise percentage of bronze, carbon, glass or graphite particles, PTFE is stands out because of its excellent chemical inertia, its very low friction coefficient (no "stick-slip" effect) and its resistance over a very wide temperature range (from -200°C to +260°C).
PU - Les polyurethanes
Polyurethanes are increasingly used in dynamic sealing applications, and France Joint offers them for rod seals, hydraulic piston and rod seals and wiper seals. These materials have an effective response to extrusion and abrasion-related constraints, improving the life span of the seals.
Rubbers
Although NBR, EPDM, FKM, and VMQ bases dominate the market, France Joint has a broad experience in providing alternate, high-performance solutions at sensible costs, such as ACM, AEM or HNBR bases, among others.
